WSOP collusion scandal rocks otherwise rocking-good time in PokerOrg Legends Lounge
We're all here, and we're telling it all from the World Series of Poker
If you are not in Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker, we wish you were, because…well, it’s been a very weird week, and we could use some help sorting it all out.
We are one week into hosting members of The Org at the PokerOrg Legends Lounge, and it’s been the most fun we’ve had in years. Someday soon, we’ll tell it all, but for now, we’ll start with these questions:
WITAF happened in the WSOP Milly Maker?
Why is Norman Chad dancing like our lounge is Studio 54?
What is going to happen with this custom poker table felt all these stars are signing?
Will we see you this week?
If you’re not already with us, this is what you’ve missed so far…and what we’ve got on tap starting tonight.
Tonight in the Legends Lounge: High Stapes Comedy! Beginning at 6pm, Joe Stapleton will sign his book Trapped. The bar opens at 7pm. At 8pm, the show begins on our private stage, starring: Joe Stapleton, Caitlin Comeskey, Chuck Sklar, Adam Johnson, andClayton Fletcher. If you’re coming, come early, because we have limited space in our private room and you don’t want to miss out. Also, there are only so many free drinks we can give out…
When it comes to the PokerOrg Legends Lounge, if you know, you know. And if you don’t know yet, we’ll sprinkle a few scenes here from the last week to get you up to speed.
We’re only one week into this party, but it’s already been a scene. We’ve been counting the number of WSOP bracelets…and at last count we’ve had 45 walk through the door. Bracelets or not, the list of poker celebs is growing every day. Alan Keating, Bryn Kenney, Barny Boatman, Ari Engel, Jason Somerville, Barry Greenstein, Linda Johnson, Jonathan Little, Jonathan Tamayo, Terry King, Juanda Ridgeway, Kristen Foxen, Christina Gollins, Jeff Madsen, David Sklansky, Calvin Anderson, and…okay…Norman Chad. And on, and on, on. Dancing encouraged, but not required.
We’re not even close to finished: We’ve already had a bunch of fun events, but we still have a lot left. Here’s what we have planned over the next few days.
July 1: Joe Stapleton Book Signing — 6-7pm
July 1: High Stapes Comedy - 8pm
July 2: Michael Acevedo Book Signing — 11am-12pm
July 2: Alex O'Brien Book Signing — 12-1pm
July 2: Werewolf Night — 8-10pm
July 3: Alexander Fitzgerald & Topher Goggin Book Signing — 11am-12pm
July 4: Octopi Poker July 4 Breakfast Celebration — 9:30am-11am
July 10: Jonathan Little Book Signing — 11am-12pm
Check out one of the rarest WSOP trophies in history…on David Sklansky’s wrist during a stop in the Legends Lounge.
If you are coming to see us, do yourself a favor: before you get here, go to our website, log in on your mobile phone, and click the silhouette of the person at the top of the page. That will take you to your account page where you’ll find your personal QR code for entry. Pro tip: take a screen shot of that page (it looks like the one below). When you hit the door, one of us will be there to scan you in. After that, our place is your place.
It is easy to find us: follow the signs to Jack Binion’s Steakhouse at the Horseshoe. We’re right next door and will be open every day until July 11 starting at 10am. Once you’re here…it’s really easy to get in. Here…let Jo Kim show you how.
Are you in the PokerOrg Fantasy Freeroll? Team tiestteam is winning it as of now, but there is still a long way to go. Also, our Sarah Herrring (2CardsChards) is still pushing toward the top. Good thing for y’all, she can’t win the big prize. If you are near the top of the list and come see us in the Lounge, let us know at the front desk. We want to sweat it with you!
Oh…yeah…there is also real news. Sarah Herring breaks down the first part of the story, and our news team breaks down the resolution on one of the biggest controversies in modern WSOP history.
Seriously, we’re just trying to have summer camp fun in the Lounge, and the WSOP got real. Wanna talk about it? We do, too. Come see us in the the Lounge.

Here’s the thing folks:
PokerOrg has been around for several years now, and during that time, we’ve gotten to know a lot of you. This year, we’re really enjoying the chance to get to know you better. We’ve had so much fun hanging out with those of you who are here, and we’re really looking forward to the next couple of weeks.
If you’re here at the World Series with us, please at least come say hi. If you have the time, tell us your story. And if you only have a few minutes, please take the time to challenge our colleague Fiona to a best-of-five Rock-Paper-Scissors match, because none of us can beat her, and we think she might be getting cocky. If you beat her, we’ll put your name on the big board.
Hope to see you soon.
