The duality of Daniel Negreanu...and Doug Polk goes dark
DNegs doesn't make the rules, but he's happy to exploit them!
The next time The Org newsletter hits your inbox, it will be live from the PokerOrg Legends Lounge at the WSOP.
Our news team has been bringing you the best WSOP and Fantasy news from Las Vegas for the last three weeks, and next Tuesday, we’re opening our doors to all members of The Org.
We’ll have free PokerOrg water bottles, filtered water refills, and a full schedule of special events, book signings, and…well, all the shenanigans. Wanna hang with us and poker’s best players while we report from Vegas? We’re saving you a seat. Watch your inbox for a full schedule.
In the meantime, we’ve got Doug Polk with some dark jokes, Sarah Herring with deja vu, and the Duality of Daniel Negreanu.
The duality of Daniel Negreanu is this: he thinks every poker tournament should be a single-bullet freezeout…and he fired 14 bullets in a WSOP online event. As he says, “I don’t make the rules.”
Doug Polk managed to get a coveted standup spot on Kill Tony…and killed it. Wonder if we could convince him to do a set in the PokerOrg Legends Lounge this summer?
A half-million-dollar watch? A $1,000 backpack? A $400 bucket hat? Dive with us into the very expensive fashion statements at the WSOP.
Ari Engel has no place to call home, and he’s fine with that. After all, he just broke the all-time poker record for most tournament cashes.
Lots of big changes coming on Engel’s WSOP Circuit stomping ground, including the end of the Tournament of Champions.
David “ODB” Baker is not only the genius behind the record-breaking ODB Fantasy contest…he’s also now a five-time WSOP bracelet winner. Congrats, ODB!
There was a time when Viktor Blom preferred to live in the shadows while he mopped the floor with his competition. Now, he’s out there, front and center, and having the kind of WSOP most of us can only dream about.
If only we’d drafted Blom! We still have a lot of World Series left, but we’d all be a lot happier if we already had the kind of PokerOrg Fantasy Freeroll points that Team Ginger does. That team drafted Blom and ODB. Where are you on the leaderboard?
Don’t forget…for the best morning fantasy sweat of the summer, we’re reporting all day, every day on every Fantasy player at the WSOP. Get all your fantasy news here for the rest of the summer.
If you’re in Vegas or headed there, don’t spend all day inside. Put on some sunscreen, catch some rays, and have a refreshing drink by the pool. Which pool? Matt Hansen has you covered.
When the Floor comes to you and asks you to color up, do you have to? What if you refused like one player at the WSOP did? It got ugly. So, we asked TD Guru Matt Savage to clarify the Chip Porn situation for us.
Phil Nagy, ACR Poker CEO, has decided to host, and, indeed, play in his own $10K weekly tournament. The response is…well, see for yourself.
Sarah Herring is experiencing a bad case of deja vu all over again. If you’re ready for her breakdown of the latest live misclick silliness, make sure you’re also ready for the kind of mayhem (and re-takes) only Sarah and The Showdowncan bring. It’s the biggest and wildest WSOP action you’ll find on the internet, brought to you by the wildest woman you’ll find in poker.
