$10 million to WSOP winner: will it be a member of The Org?
We're beginning to believe in the Luck of the Lounge. Read this and you might, too!
Ten million bucks. That’s how much will go to the winner of the WSOP Main Event (you know, assuming WPT Gold doesn’t come in and make it $11 million if the winner’s initials are WPT or he/she is wearing gold underwear).Regardless of the prize pool, the PokerOrg team is working its underwear off night and day to bring you the best live coverage from the Main Event. You can click that link or find it whenever you want on our front page. Just look for the pulsing red light.
Question now: will the winner be someone with the Luck of the Lounge?
The PokerOrg Legends Lounge has been pure, perfect madness for the past two weeks. Book signings, comedy shows, star-studded podcast recordings, and almost too many WSOP bracelets to count (the official number is 127 bracelets with four days to go). Hundreds upon hundreds of you have shown up and hung out with us, but no one has spent more time with us than Frank the Tank who has checked in 37 times (and counting) and late Monday took over as the Lounge Rock-Paper-Scissors title-holder. If you missed it or want to look for some pictures of yourself, check out this Behind The Scenes Lounge action.
Here are just a few things you might have missed in the past week in the Legends Lounge.

There has been so much more in the Lounge, but if we’re going to get to the news we’ve got to get on with it…oh, okay, here’s a little more…on July 10 (Thursday) between 11am-12pm Jonathan Little will be signing books in the Lounge. Come say hi!
Oh, yes…and, then there’s Werewolf. On two nights this week, after the Lounge doors creaked closed, the back room turned into a Werewolf Den. Org members got together with Joe McKeehan, Jeff Madsen, Vanessa Selbst, Melanie Weisner, and more for the kind of fun you just can’t have when the lights are on.
So, while we’ve been doing all that, there has been a lot of news…not the least of which was Shiina Okamoto going back-to-back in the Ladies Championship. The WPA watch partiers in the lounge were on the edge of their seats the whole time. Congrats to Shiina!
The dream of having Kristen Foxen back at the Main Event final table this year, alas, died an early, flippin’ death.
There will also be no Moneymaker at the final table after he managed to get himself one-outered in early Main Event action. He’s fine, though, because he just went down the street and won the main event on his own tour for $238K.
News alert: for the first time in something like a decade, Phil Hellmuth has made Day 3 of the Main Event, an effort helped out by flopping quads on Day 2.
Shaun Deeb has been putting on a clinic in the race for the WSOP Player of the Year. As we get close to the final events, Deeb holds a lead over Martin Kabrhel and Benny Glaser.
Yes, even after Kabrhel won a WSOP bracelet…
Although some folks think the POY scoring could use some adjustment…
And, hey, not to be a downer, but smart people say that Big Beautiful Bill could mean Big Bad Trouble for professional gamblers…
Last days of the PokerOrg Fantasy Freeroll and Team Jeanriders (that’s Player Advisory Board member Jeanne David, by the way) is up top and in line for the $10,000 main event prize. Our Sarah Herrring (2CardsChards) has dropped back to tenth place. Everybody still has a chance. Is your team close? Let us know!

There is a lot we still have to say about this entire World Series, but for now, we’re going to stick with thank you to every one of you who were gracious, grateful, patient, and kind to the PokerOrg team this summer. More later, but for now, a reminder from Lee Jones about how lucky we all are to be here.
And speaking of luck…how cool would it be if one of the folks we’ve been hanging out with for weeks in the Lounge ended up winning the Main Event? We’re still waiting for official chip counts going into Day 3, and we know we have dozens of Org members still in the field. We’ll sort all of that out later on Tuesday, but for now, here are some Day 3 faces we’ve seen in the Lounge.
